The Law Office of Sylvie L. F. Richards, Esq., PLLC is a boutique law practice located on Manhattan's Upper West Side that focuses on trusts and estates for high-net-worth clients, including estate litigation.
Based upon your needs, we will draft documents such as a Last Will and Testament; trusts (revocable and irrevocable); special needs trusts for children and adults; Medicaid Asset Protection trusts; prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; form nonprofit organizations that can be part of a charitable lead or a charitable remainder trust; and create business succession plans as part of your estate plan. We also provide a Concierge Services Subscription plan with either monthly or yearly subscriptions. We will work with you in a caring, compassionate and confidential way. We represent U.S. and international clients with assets in New York.
Sylvie L. F. Richards is the founding principal of the Law Office of Sylvie L. F. Richards, Esq., PLLC. She established the boutique law practice in order to focus on personalized legal services that would benefit the everyday life of her clients and their families. Sylvie’s goal is to create collaborative, long-term relationships. She not only offers sound guidance and legal solutions, she also educates clients on issues of concern to them. She makes certain they understand important nuances and are comfortable with each decision they make.
Sylvie Richards is admitted to practice law in New York in both state and federal courts. She is active in the legal profession, being a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association where she is a member of the Trusts and Estates Law and the Elder Law sections, the American Bar Association, and the New York County Lawyers Association. She regularly serves as a judge for Moot Court competitions. Sylvie also serves as president of two nonprofit organizations.

In addition to her law degree from New York Law School, Sylvie Richards holds a Ph.D. in French and Romance Philology from Columbia University. She is an internationally recognized teacher, scholar and writer, and she has been invited to speak at international conferences in Europe, Asia, and Central America.
Sylvie regularly offers community seminars on estate planning where she will answer your questions on wills and trusts. She also teaches Continuing Legal Education classes for the Marino Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
